1.2 Project Overview
The NextEnergy Fleet Processing Tool (NEFPT) will provide NextEnergy with an interactive web site capable of processing and managing fleet information to calculate their capital costs, fuel costs, and fuel emissions. Users will be able to create virtual fleets by selecting vehicles from a database and adding them to the fleet. Users are required to provide basic information before adding a vehicle; the information includes the cost of the vehicle, the quantity of the selected type, estimated distance traveled per year, and urban/highway driving percentages. After adding vehicles to the fleet, a user can set the current fuel prices. Additional analysis on fleets is possible with the help of sub-fleets. These sub-fleets consist of vehicles within a fleet and the percentage of costs and emissions are calculated over the entire fleet.1.3 Document Overview
This document is intended to provide information to users of the NextEnergy project. Section 2.0 gives an overview of the software, Section 3.0 describes how to access the software, and Section 4.0 describes how to use the software.
