3.0 Software Access
3.1 Installation and Setup
For information regarding the installation and setup of the NextEnergy Fleet Processing tool, please refer to the NextEnergy Fleet Processing Tool Version Description Document (NEFPT-VDD).
3.2 Initiating a Session
The following steps describe how to start the software:
1. Start a new session of Internet Explorer by clicking Start,
Programs, Internet Explorer.
2. Make sure the version of IE is 6 or higher. To check the
version, from the web browser click on "Help" then "About Internet
Explorer". The following pop-up is displayed:
4. Click on the appropriate link to go to the Fleet Processing Tool
main page.
5. Click on either "New" to start a new fleet or "Load" to load a previously saved fleet.
3.3 Stopping and Suspending Work
The following is a list of ways to terminate the session:
- Click on "nextenergy.org" from the navigation bar to go to the NextEnergy homepage.
- Click on the 'X' in the top right corner of the web browser.
- Click on "File" then "Close" from the menu.
- Type a new address in the address bar of the web browser.
- The session automatically times out after 20 minutes.
Before terminating their session, it is recommended the user save the fleet by clicking on the "Save" hyperlink in the navigation
bar.
