We are officially in spring. April ushers in warmer and longer days, outdoor activities, as well as Earth Day!
In the spirit of earth day and cleaner, smarter, and more accessible communities and cities, check out NextEnergy’s smart cities program manager, Kate Bell’s blog on the carbon neutral city of the future: Smart Cities Need Smart Technologies. They Also Need Smart Policies.
In thinking spring and outdoor activities, I want to share an update on a zero-emissions watercraft deployment within the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform. In advance of their product launch this spring, Lilypad, a Michigan-based developer of solar-powered electric watercraft, deployed their technology last fall in Saugatuck, Michigan.
If you would like to learn more about the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform, please join OMFE, MDOT, NewLab, Silicon Foundry, and NextEnergy for an Info Session on the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform on Thursday, May 5th, 1:00pm – 2:15pm EDT
Next month, our Senior Director of Research, Development, and Infrastructure, Eric McDonald, will be leading a panel on Smart Building Electrification and the next Generation Grid, at the 7th Annual Grid Modernization Forum with Slipstream, Elevate Energy and Commonwealth Edison.
As always, please stay tuned for updates on our work and activities via our website, social media platforms, or by connecting with our team.
