Jim Saber, President & CEO
I hope that all of you reading this are enjoying your summer and staying safe! Last month, I shared a couple of projects we launched that accelerate smart, clean, and accessible solutions for our communities and cities. This month, I want to highlight a current project that is continuing with great success.
To accelerate the growth of electrified mobility, the NextEnergy team is currently supporting Delta Electronics on the installation of their 400kW Extreme Fast Charging system under a project that is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Energy. Delta’s components have been delivered and placed within the microgrid platform at the Industry Innovation Center. The installation and commissioning of the charging system is expected in the near future.
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to participate in a great discussion on smart cities and the value of public-private partnerships during the TU-Automotive Detroit conference with Tara Lanigan of May Mobility, Natalia Quintero of Transit Tech Lab, Aravind Kailas of Volvo, and Scott McCormick of Connected Vehicle Trade Association. It was a great opportunity to share our thoughts on public-private partnerships and learn from experts in the mobility space.
Please be sure to check out the blog from Tim Slusser and Dr. Martin Hering of Robert Bosch on decentralized power and our clean energy future. Stay tuned for updates on our work and activities via our website and social media channels and, as always, please feel free to connect with our team virtually.
