Summer is finally here and the NextEnergy team has kicked off the summer with new programs and demonstrations!

I am happy to share with you the public launch of MiNextCities!

NextEnergy is working with the Michigan Department of Environment Great Lakes and Energy, 3 great cities, and Public Sector Consultants to develop a guide for planning for carbon neutrality, leveraging new technologies, and creating new policies which will improve the quality of life for people who live, work, and visit our communities.

For more information on this initiative, please reach out to Kate Bell, our MiNextCities program manager, and you can stay up to date on our progress at

Please check out Lauren Mattar’s blog about smarter and cleaner solutions that are also accessible.

Earlier this month, Airspace Link demonstrated their technology within the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform. In partnership with Beaumont Health Spectrum Health and Mission Go, Airspace Link conducted test deliveries using a drone to transport medical packages. This drone delivery project is one of the first in the state and a critical step in the process of helping Michigan become a leader in the drone space.

Please stay tuned for new program, team, and partnership announcements as we move into the summer. As always, feel free to reach out to the NextEnergy team to learn more about our work and programs to accelerate cleaner, smarter, and more accessible communities and cities.
