Jim Saber, President & CEO
This month, I am thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you. Michigan Clean Cities has joined the NextEnergy team as an affiliated organization! Michigan Clean Cities supports communities and fleets with vital resources and services to reduce emissions and our country’s dependence on fossil fuels. These services and relationships are synergistic with our mission to accelerate solutions that lead to cleaner, smarter, and more accessible communities and cities, providing both organizations additional resources and relationships to achieve our missions.
Please check out Maggie Striz Calnin’s blog introducing Michigan Clean Cities’ work to the NextEnergy network and stay tuned for additional communications on our work together.
I am also excited to share news about a new Federal Transit Administration program we are partnering on with Inventev and SAE International to develop standards for exportable power from electrified school and transit buses. Our work will commence early this fall and we look forward to creating standards that will provide critical support for our communities in times of emergencies and strengthen our nation’s electric grid.
Stay tuned for updates on our work and activities via our website, social media platforms, and, as always, please feel free to connect with our team.
