The Advanced Air Mobility statewide challenge is a series of pilot programs to advance the integration of drones for solving real-world problems. We attended four amazing events supporting the Drive Electric Michigan initiative dedicated to increasing electric vehicle adoption in Michigan through partnerships with stakeholders. We saw electric school buses, electric vehicle ride and drives, and had conversations with current and future EV owners. These events took us from Detroit and Auburn Hills to Ann Arbor and East Lansing… and everywhere in between! Last week marked the next chapter of mobility in Michigan. The #DetroitSmartParkingLab hosted a ribbon-cutting and launch event showcasing a growing industry and technology: Advanced Air Mobility. Rooftop #drone delivery testing will start at the DSPL, a small part in strengthening Michigan’s leadership in the AAM sector. Thanks to all who participated in this landmark event, including @michiganbusiness @bedrockdetroit and the Michigan Office of Future Mobility and Electrification. The UTX hosts its next event on Wednesday, Sept. 10 with Waste to Wonder 2025. Our Director of Mobility Initiatives Lauren Mattar will officially speak at the #RoadmapForth Conference in October! The Office of Future Mobility and Electricity (OFME) and GEM sponsored a mobility design lab where nine students researched and proposed mobility solutions to meet the needs of a Michigan region. The curveball was that they proposed solutions in the year 2050! Solutions ranged from personal mobility vehicles to drone micro-logistics. The @ccs_detroit students’ projects were very impressive!
